Pit Seating at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

Pit seating is available for most shows at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre. The pit is a standing room only section that is directly in front of the stage. The Pit is great if you are trying to get as close as possible to your favorite artist or band.

VIP or Premium Seating at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre

The VIP and Premium Seating at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre include prime seats and box suites, private VIP entrance, VIP parking closest to the venue, and access to a VIP exclusive club. VIP seating is above the seating in the balcony suite areas which allows for a better viewing angle of the stage.

History and Overview

Located just outside of Chicago in Tinley Park, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre opened as the World Music Theatre in 1990. With 11,000 reserve seats and room for up to 17,000 on the lawn, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is one of the largest outdoor music venues in the country, with a total capacity of 28,000. With the size of the venue, a number of music festivals have taken place over the years such as Farm Aid, Lollapalooza, and Ozzfest to name a few. Today the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre remains one of the premier outdoor music facilities in the Chicago area.

With a capacity of 17,000 on the lawn, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre has plenty of room for the concert goer who is looking to get into the show for as cheap as possible. There is no actual seats on the lawn, which is why tickets are the least expensive in this area. Most will bring blankets or chairs for seating, while others like to get as close to the stage as possible standing outside the reserve section.
